Temple Terrace Community Gardens is a group of people who grow gardens of food.  We strive to promote community among everyone.

The gardens are in 3 locations:
  • Riverhills Park: East of the tennis courts
  • Greco Middle School: South side of the school 6925 E Fowler Ave
  • Linwood Edible Park: Southwest of Linwood Park at 113th Ave and 62nd St.
Join the garden as a member for a one-time $10 donation.  Then optionally rent a garden bed (4’ by 10’) for $35 annually to plant whatever you like, while abiding by the garden's rules.   The bed rental fee includes automatic drip irrigation and soil ingredients (IE compost) periodically.

Visit the gardens to see how we do it!  Email templeterracecommunitygarden@hotmail.com for more information.  A garden coordinator can schedule a tour, and let you know which beds are available for rental.

Go to Facebook for screen socializing, come to the garden to socialize in the flesh with others, and with mother earth.

Why become a member of the community garden?

Membership in the Temple Terrace Community Gardens is available for a one time $10 donation and offers many things. Just a few of these are:
  • Access to communal planting areas in all plots where you can help plant and maintain the gardens and work with others to grow organic vegetables for all to share.
  • If you are a beginner, our garden experts can help you learn organic gardening in Florida. You'll learn what to plant, when to plant it, and how to get the best results. You'll also get to learn about composting, worm bins, lasagna layering and all of the fun stuff that accompanies organic gardening.
  • Our community of gardeners believe in the importance of organic gardening and spreading the word. Community is one of our fundamental goals and we are fostering it - plus it comes with local, organic veggies!
  • For another small yearly cost you can also have your own individual garden bed to grow exactly what you want to grow. We have 10' beds available for $35 a year. Click here for more information on the individual garden beds.
